It is not necessary to send an email to the supervising faculty member regarding the parts to be designed and manufactured as part of the workshop internship, nor is it necessary to obtain additional approval prior to production. Designs that meet the technical requirements specified in the internship guidelines may be sent directly to production after the student has developed a process plan.
However, the purpose of the design, the 3D model, technical drawings, materials used, production methods, process sequence, and the manufacturing, assembly, and testing stages must be explained in detail in the internship logbook and supported with photographs as much as possible.
