Mechatronics System Design and Capstone Project

Dear students, information regarding the procedures, schedule, and supporting documents for the Mechatronics System Design and Capstone Project courses is shared with you on this page.

The “Mechatronics System Design and Capstone Project” courses are conducted under the supervision of the respective faculty advisors. Your faculty advisor is your first point of contact for any matters related to the project and the course process. For any questions or issues regarding the course’s evaluation criteria and general procedures, you should first contact the teaching assistant responsible for communication.

4.1 Evaluation Forms

The evaluation forms listed below are used by faculty members involved in the evaluation process; it is important that you prepare your presentations and reports in accordance with these forms.

4.2 Report Template

The use of the templates below is mandatory for reports to be prepared as part of the capstone project.

4.3 System Demonstration Videos

A system demonstration video to be presented to the jury during the final presentation of the Capstone Project is mandatory.

4.4 Project Proposal Form

“Mechatronics System Design” students must submit the project proposal form to the designated area on the announcement platform by the second week of the semester.

Which language should I use in reports and presentations?

You must use the language you selected when registering for the course on OBS.

What happens if I submit assignments or reports late?

Submissions sent after the deadline will result in a 5-point deduction from your final grade for the term.

Is it mandatory to use the report template?

Yes, you must use the official template shared for all reports.

Is a prototype demonstration video required for the Capstone Project final presentation?

Yes. The final presentation must include a short video demonstrating the working prototype.

If I do not submit the final report in the specified format or by the deadline, can I still participate in the final presentation?

No. Reports that do not conform to the template or are not submitted on time will affect the final presentation process.
